NOTO – Nature & Outdoor Tourism Ontario…your voice in protecting the interests of the nature and outdoor tourism industry.

Our Organization

For more than 80 years, NOTO, Nature & Outdoor Tourism Ontario, has remained a not-for-profit association representing over 500 tourism operations, industry providers & public members. Most of our members operate lodges, resorts, camps, camping/trailer parks, canoe outfitters, and fly-in services located in the heart of the Ontario wilderness.  Known throughout our history as Northern Ontario Outfitters Association, we have recently adopted a new operating name and accepted an updated mandate.

Nature and outdoor tourism, from hunting and fishing to snowmobiling, canoeing and rock climbing is a key part of the Ontario economy. Only one association represents the needs of this diverse industry.  Since 1929, NOTO has worked to make sure that govenment policy and priorities respect the needs of this important industry. Our efforts not only enhance the outdoor experiences for our visitors but are important in ensuring industry growth and economic opportunities for our communities.
